- Habitat : locally frequent in thickets, frequently climbing up trees in forest openings, in mid-elevation cloud forest of Amazonas Department, east and northeast of Chachapoyas, at elevations from 2,100-2,600 meters, with a few collections also known from Cajamarca Department, Cutervo Province, at elevations from 1,900 to 2,650 meters.
