Named : To the naming the description of the breeder: My Pforzheim district Dillweißenstein was divided into two suburbs until the 16th century. Weißenstein had three castles, which still exist today with two ruins and in the castle Rabeneck with a very, very nice youth hostel. Around 1230 the knight Belrem of Weißenstein ruled over these local castles. According to tradition, Zuleima was the wife of Knight Belrem, whom he brought back from the Orient, supposedly from a crusade. Knights Belrem and Zuleima became symbols of the Dill-Weissenstein carnival. Both are awakened every year on 11.11. from the dungeon of Rabeneck Castle. The clothing of the two in the traditional colours red striped at Knight Belrem and blue striped at Zuleima, is reflected in the corresponding colours of the flamed flowering fuchsias
