Remarks : Göttingen ‘,’ Gartenmeister Bonstedt ‘,’ Koralle ‘All three are direct descendants of F. triphylla. Breeding work with F. triphylla began in Germany at the end of the 18th century. Unfortunately, the crossing partner is not known of the three varieties mentioned. All three were bred by Carl Bonstedt, the director of the botanical garden in Göttingen. The variety ‘Göttingen’ came onto the market in 1904. The flowers are bright orange-red, slightly longer and stronger than coral. The foliage is dark green with reddish leaf veins. Underside reddish. The foliage, unlike the other two, is of solid substance and velvety on the top. The growth is also stronger than ‘Gartenmeister Bonstedt’ and ‘Koralle’.
